The projects from Riga underground, famous for the industrial music, can be traditionally seen on the industrial night of Kunigunda. This time, we will enjoy the performance of aggressive, cold and uncompromising but at the same time artistic and conceptual project Strops that is among the most impressive new discoveries of Latvian industrial scene.

Strops has been formed in 1997, at the time when project founder Joriks was creating weird spontaneous performances with different people. The performance idea was based on impulsive composition of sound space related to clear-cut concept coming from a certain social theme. Within five years, Strops recorded three albums which remained unreleased because of poor sound quality. However, later the project founder decided to take Strops records seriously. As a result, in 2004 the well-known industrial community Sturm released Strops album called "Slepenie Rotallaukumi". It deserves the fame it enjoys among the listeners of the neighbouring countries.

For live performances Strops are always inviting a range of persons. The only regular member besides Joriks is percussionist Jurij. The author claims his project is open for other artists (no only musicians though) who ara capable to share their reality with him.
