The headlining group on this year’s Kunigunda Lunaria festival – one of the best bands in Russian (and maybe in all Eastern Europe) gothic scene - Theodor Bastard. The band was formed in 1996 (then it was named Fiodor Svoloch) and has become known for outstanding psychedelic, macabric, experimental performances. There were various underground releases, but the real break-through has come after the release of the album "Pustota" in 2004, it was released in various countries – ranging from Mexico to Turkey and Germany.

Theodor Bastard manage to create distinctive, unique collage of trip-hop, darkwave, ethno-rock, oriental folk, experimental electronic music, which is highlighted by strong, emotional singing by Yana Veva. The mood of Theodor Bastard music resembles of strange, mystic act with the characters of David Lynch films’ and with decadence atmosphere; it’s beauty with horror hiding somewhere inside...
