Welcome to the domain of "Kunigunda"
T he biggest yearly dark independent music festival in Baltic States "Kunigunda Lunaria" returns to Vilnius, for the fourth time becoming the pulsating centre of darkwave/gothic/industrial and other subcultures art . Each time "Kunigunda Lunaria" becomes bigger and stronger, and this year it will feature 15 bands and projects from 6 countries and a good squad of international DJs.
The stylistic boundaries of "Kunigunda Lunaria" become wider at each festival - the creation of almost all participating bands can't be descirbed using usual terms and descriptions. The main conception of the festival is to bring original, interesting bands, which will help to create really unique witchery happening. During three "Kunigunda Lunaria 2005" nights the beautiful, romantic, gothic capital of Lithuania will be filled with various interesting, and spectacular events – concerts, dance-nights, film screening, partying at festival club, etc. - all of them taking place in the mysterious Vilnius Old Town. The festival club in the heart of old Vilnius will become the small capital of the independent subcultures, offering dark music, strange rare movies, special menus and famous Lithuanian beer, of course, for a good time of soulmates. This year "Kunigunda Lunaria" is becoming a proof that Eastern Europe has a very interesting scene with strong bands and original ideas. And the coming feast is a good chance to have a great time discovering it.
As always, "Kunigunda Lunaria", is not only the art which is presented at the festival scenes - very important is magic atmosphere, which always prevails during these three days, and the audience, which helps this atmosphere to be created. So, take all your black elegance and join la fete of grotesque - we have been waiting whole year for it - and it is about to begin!
