In this year's Festival, a number of bands will create special theatrical atmosphere. Lakissova from Estonia will contribute to Kunigunda by turning the festival into dark, mysterious play. Lakissova now is one of the most interesting artists in Estonia. She is famous for her earlier projects and the debut release La Poupee, which have already gained popularity.
The passion of Lakissova lies in dolls. It is reflected both in songs and her performances. Strange puppet-shows, costumes and intriguing theatrical atmosphere are inherent elements of her shows, but music is equally important, too. Lakissova’s band consists of great musicians from Latvia and Estonia playing neo-classical music combined with folklore, while the singer’s voice is often compared with that of Laurie Anderson or Tori Amos. Music sometimes is crystal and clear, sometimes it triggers anxiety, but it is always sincere, deep and arousing the longing for unknown worlds.
