Mano Juodoji Sesuo together with another cult Lithuanian band Siela can bravely be named as the pioneers of gothic scene not only in Lithuania, but in whole so called Eastern ex-USSR block. This band was formed in 1991, and since the beginning of the existence performed at big festivals and small clubs, released five albums – most of them (as "Byra Byra Karoliukai" or "Reinkarnacija") already have a cult status in Lithuania, and received very positive reviews from abroad. During all this time MJS didn’t try to change the direction of their way – it is specific melancholic neoromantism. They have formed their classical sound, mixed from synthpop, darkwave and other side influnces, and the growing ranks of group’s fans proves that it is one of the most loved bands in Lithuanian dark scene.
