Lithuanian neofolk band Pievos was formed in last century, and their debut album was met very enthusiastically – it was a big hope of the scene. Sadly, after some years of existence, Pievos disappeared from the scene. But last year they have returned with very strong performance at the festival "Mėnuo Juodaragis 2005". It became clear, that the music of the band didn‘t loose the power, and even got more emotions and became more interesting. Now the band prepares their second album, which, as people who heard these songs say, is one of the strongest discs in Lithuania this year. Pievos continue their path, which they began in last century – it is neofolk/folkrock, very emotional, very poetical, very sincere, and the strong voice of Pievos‘ singer Virginija can't leave anybody indifferent.
